ADOMPRETUR recognizes ADTS for advances in health tourism

As part of the New Tourism Strengths distinguished the Dominican Health Tourism Association, the entity was distinguished for the initiatives taken to diversify the Dominican tourism sector offer.

Santo Domingo, julio 2019.- The Dominican Tourism Press Association (ADOMPRETUR), recognized good practices in Dominican tourism with the Luis Augusto Caminero Award.

To exalt the remarkable advances that tourism has experienced in the strategic objective of diversifying its offer, they recognized the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS), in the New Tourism Strengths segment.

The president of the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS), Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso, picked up the plaque accompanied by the Vice President of the entity, Ms. Amelia Reyes Mora, from the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier, and the past president of Adompretur, Dania Goris.

In the event led by the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier, and the president of ADOMPRETUR, Luis José Chávez, they recognized the ADTS for their contribution to position the Dominican Republic as a destination for medical tourism and the formation of private-public alliances and actions aimed at strengthening the quality and safety of health and tourism services.

In addition, they received awards from different personalities and entities that for their contributions have contributed to the growth of the tourism sector, support of the Dominican economy and the main generator of foreign exchange in the country, such as Frank Rainieri, Edmundo Aja, Rita Cabrer among others.

Elis Pérez, founding member of ADOMPRETUR, and the president of the entity, Luis José Chavez, affirmed that these recognitions are an opportune and deserved act of justice for Dominican tourism and its main protagonists, who with their actions and leadership have contributed to diversifying our offer and to position the country as the main tourist destination in the Caribbean and Central America.
