Mother&#8217;s Day has become one of the busiest dates for mobility and family gatherings in the Dominican Republic. According to DiDi data, during last year&#8217;s celebration demand for trip requests rose by nearly 30% compared with the previous week, with peaks of up to 50% from midday onwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In view of this high demand, DiDi is preparing to keep supporting Dominicans through a range of technology solutions and savings options available in the app, making it easier to get to family gatherings, restaurants, social activities, shopping centres and recreational spaces during one of the busiest days of the year in Greater Santo Domingo and Santiago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;At DiDi we know that Mother&#8217;s Day is one of the most special celebrations for Dominican families: a day to get together, share a meal, hug mum and celebrate together the moments that make a home. That is why at DiDi we want to be there for thousands of people on this very meaningful date, making it easier for more Dominicans to reach their loved ones in a practical and safe way, with savings options available in the app so they can enjoy this special day with the people they love most,&#8221; said Douglas Quesada, communications manager for DiDi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Historical app data shows that, during last year&#8217;s Mother&#8217;s Day celebration, some of the highest concentrations of demand for trip requests in Santiago de los Caballeros were recorded in areas such as the Historic Centre and the Fernando Valerio neighbourhood. In Santo Domingo, the most activity was concentrated in the National District, especially in areas such as Villa Juana and Villa Francisca, during the 2025 celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DiDi as a technology partner for mobility at busy times<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DiDi is making technology intermediation solutions with an impact on mobility available to meet the needs of this high-demand day. Through DiDi Express, DiDi Pon Tu Precio and DiDi Moto, passenger users can find options for connecting with driver users, tailored to different moments and needs during the celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, some passenger users will be able to access savings options and discounts available directly in the app, depending on activity and demand patterns during the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of this support, DiDi highlights that 99.99% of trip requests intermediated through the app are completed without any reported safety incidents.
