In addition to the strict safety measures provided by the hotel and endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, health measures and registration, cleaning, disinfection and air circulation protocols will be reinforced.  <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #069dbf\">The event will feature local and international participants<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The leading medical tourism event in Central America and the Caribbean will feature strong local representation and renowned international experts, including: <span style=\"color: #0566b5\"><em>Dr. David Vequist<\/em><\/span>, Ph.D., founder and director of the Center for Medical Tourism Research (CMTR); <em><span style=\"color: #0566b5\">Dr. David Samadi<\/span><\/em>, director of urologic oncology at Saint Francis Hospital; <span style=\"color: #0566b5\"><em>Elizabeth Ziemba<\/em><\/span>, president of Medical Tourism Training; <span style=\"color: #0566b5\"><em>Dr. Javier Morales<\/em><\/span>, president of Best Option Healthcare; and <span style=\"color: #0566b5\"><em>Massimo Manzi<\/em><\/span>, executive director of the Costa Rica Chamber of Health (PROMED), among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the opening day, ministerial representatives, sponsors, the diplomatic community and investors will witness special awards for the sector&#8217;s most outstanding institutions. The most anticipated topics include <span style=\"color: #05b543\"><em>&#8220;Health Passports and the Role of Vaccines in Relaunching Tourism and the Economy&#8221;<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #05b543\"><em>&#8220;Lessons Learned from International Accreditation and COVID-19 Safety Standards&#8221;<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #05b543\"><em>&#8220;The Contribution of Health Tourism to the Country Brand&#8221;<\/em><\/span>. Under the theme <span style=\"color: #05b543\"><em><strong>&#8220;Public-Private Partnerships in the health and tourism sectors&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, participants <span style=\"color: #0566b5\"><strong>Rafael Blanco Tejera<\/strong><\/span>, President of Asonahores; <span style=\"color: #0566b5\"><strong>Dr. Eddy P\u00e9rez Then<\/strong><\/span>, Adviser to the Ministry of Health; and <span style=\"color: #0566b5\"><strong>Joel Santos<\/strong><\/span>, tourism adviser to the Executive Branch, will discuss the importance of strengthening these partnerships.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Health and wellness tourism needs fundamental guarantees to operate safely, reliably and sustainably for service providers, the insurance sector and above all patients.
