To contribute to the innovation and ventures that will shape the future of medicine and the Dominican health tourism sector, the <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS)<\/span><\/strong> and <strong>AF Comunicaci\u00f3n Estrat\u00e9gica<\/strong> held the third <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/sala-de-prensa\/almuerzo-de-inversion-busca-impulsar-nuevos-proyectos-de-turismo-de-salud-y-bienestar\/\"><span style=\"color: #04b146\">Private Investment Lunch<\/span><\/a><\/strong> as the closing event of the <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">&#8220;5th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress&#8221;<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was led by the president of the Dominican Health Tourism Association, Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso, and its vice-president, <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Amelia Reyes Mora<\/span><\/strong>, who also chairs <strong><span style=\"color: #04b146\">AF Comunicaci\u00f3n Estrat\u00e9gica<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees included <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Luis Esp\u00ednola<\/span><\/strong>, executive vice-president of Corporate and Investment Banking at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.popularenlinea.com\/Personas\/Paginas\/servicios-digitales.aspx?gclid=CjwKCAjw8cCGBhB6EiwAgORey_6abSjp64OAinLj5Zu--AiLECP8KgdkHJwzjThQEKeAEfeiiWCI4xoCw20QAvD_BwE\"><span style=\"color: #04b146\">Banco Popular<\/span><\/a>; <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Biviana Riveiro<\/span><\/strong>, executive director of <a href=\"https:\/\/prodominicana.gob.do\/Inicio\"><span style=\"color: #04b146\">ProDominicana<\/span><\/a>; Jacqueline Mora, Technical Vice-Minister at the <span style=\"color: #04b146\">Ministry of Tourism<\/span>; <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Rafael Blanco<\/span><\/strong>, president of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asonahores.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #04b146\">Asonahores<\/span><\/a>; <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Joel Santos<\/span><\/strong>, tourism adviser to the executive branch; and Dr. <strong><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">V\u00edctor Atallah<\/span><\/strong>, medical adviser to the <span style=\"color: #04b146\">Executive Branch<\/span>, among other figures from the health and tourism sectors and investors.<\/p>\n<p>The Investment Lunch began with a lecture on <em><span style=\"color: #04b146\">&#8220;Outlook for the Tourism Sector and Investment Facilities in the Dominican Republic&#8221;<\/span><\/em> by <span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Juan Manuel Mart\u00edn de Oliva<\/span>, vice-president of Tourism Business at Banco Popular.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Mart\u00edn de Oliva<\/span> highlighted that tourism is a key sector for the country&#8217;s economic recovery and competitiveness, stating that it is vital to keep promoting public-private partnerships, job creation and the development of strategic niches such as health tourism and retiree tourism.<\/p>\n<p>The main focus was the presentation of new projects that together represent an investment of more than 10 billion pesos and will create more than 1,500 direct jobs, a sign of confidence in the government and the future of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n<p>The projects presented at the Investment Lunch were: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wellmed.do\/\"><span style=\"color: #04b146\">Wellmed<\/span><\/a>, presented by <span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Alejandro Marranzin<\/span>, director of Development at Shearly Investments; <span style=\"color: #04b146\">M\u00e9dico Express<\/span>, by <span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Franchesco Fino<\/span>; <a href=\"https:\/\/lasmed.net\/\"><span style=\"color: #04b146\">Lasmed Health Center<\/span><\/a>, by its CEO <span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Massimiliano Scerra<\/span>; <span style=\"color: #04b146\">EMG Medical Network<\/span>, presented by its CEO and founder Dr. <span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Pedro Estrella<\/span>; <span style=\"color: #04b146\">Cabrera Health<\/span>, presented by Dr. <span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">V\u00edctor Matos<\/span>, medical director of Santo Domingo Wellness Center; and <span style=\"color: #04b146\">Homs Health and Wellness Center<\/span>, by architect <span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">Juan Camilo Medina<\/span>, director of Real Estate Development at Grupo Estrella.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <em><span style=\"color: #00a6a7\">2020 Medical Tourism Index<\/span><\/em>, the country ranked as the number one health tourism destination in the Caribbean and number two in Latin America.
