{"id":12756,"date":"2022-03-29T12:48:38","date_gmt":"2022-03-29T16:48:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/uncategorized\/more-than-200-women-benefit-from-the-women-entrepreneurs-programme\/"},"modified":"2022-03-29T12:48:38","modified_gmt":"2022-03-29T16:48:38","slug":"more-than-200-women-benefit-from-the-women-entrepreneurs-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/en\/blog-en\/more-than-200-women-benefit-from-the-women-entrepreneurs-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 200 women benefit from the Women Entrepreneurs programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>More than 200 women have benefited from Habitat for Humanity&#8217;s Women Entrepreneurs programme.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The programme, created in 2018, aims to provide microcredit to women and make their homes productive.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>Santo Domingo (March 2022).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Thanks to the efforts of <span style=\"color: #33cccc\">Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic<\/span>, more than 200 women entrepreneurs have been able to develop their business ideas from home, through the <span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>Building Hope Step by Step project and its Women Entrepreneurs programme<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6410 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mas-de-200-Mujeres-Emprendedoras-beneficiadas-del-programas-de-Habitat-para-la-Humanidad-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mas-de-200-Mujeres-Emprendedoras-beneficiadas-del-programas-de-Habitat-para-la-Humanidad-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mas-de-200-Mujeres-Emprendedoras-beneficiadas-del-programas-de-Habitat-para-la-Humanidad.jpg 683w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 259px) 100vw, 259px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">The<span style=\"color: #008080\"> Women Entrepreneurs<\/span> programme is an initiative running since 2018 that provides microcredit to women heads of household or single mothers living in vulnerable conditions, <span style=\"color: #00ccff\">to improve the infrastructure of their homes<\/span>, so that they become productive homes that help generate the income needed to support their children and help them get ahead. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">During these years of pandemic, the economic crisis has deepened. In response,<span style=\"color: #33cccc\"> Habitat<\/span> sees the need for women heads of household not only to live in a safe home, but also to be able to earn a living for themselves and their children from home. <span style=\"color: #00ccff\">The organisation wants every woman entrepreneur to feel supported and able to develop her business idea safely while cutting the costs of renting premises. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">&#8220;When I fix up this business I&#8217;ll feel secure, because nobody will break in to steal and I won&#8217;t lose what I&#8217;ve invested,&#8221; says<strong> Irene<\/strong>, one of the women in the programme. &#8220;Having extra space will give me the chance to stock more and get more customers.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">The programme also provides family finance advice so they learn to manage the money their business brings in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">&#8220;Dominican women have our support. We believe every woman deserves to live in a decent home and have the livelihood her family needs for greater overall wellbeing, and at Habitat for Humanity we are making that possible,&#8221; said <strong>Cesarina Fabi\u00e1n, national director of <span style=\"color: #33cccc\">H\u00e1bitat Dominicana. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">The initiative ensures greater stability for women and their families, especially at a time when the home has become our first line of defence and an engine of economic recovery. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #33cccc\">H\u00e1bitat Dominicana<\/span> works to build or improve homes for Dominican women who lack the financial resources to secure a decent, healthy home during the current pandemic. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We thank all our donors for their kind hearts and because, through their help, many women entrepreneurs are making progress.
