{"id":12782,"date":"2022-06-13T17:33:25","date_gmt":"2022-06-13T21:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/uncategorized\/first-digital-health-study-of-the-dominican-republic-to-be-presented\/"},"modified":"2022-06-13T17:33:25","modified_gmt":"2022-06-13T21:33:25","slug":"first-digital-health-study-of-the-dominican-republic-to-be-presented","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/en\/press-room\/first-digital-health-study-of-the-dominican-republic-to-be-presented\/","title":{"rendered":"First Digital Health Study of the Dominican Republic to be presented"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>The research, which will serve as a basis for establishing the current situation and recommendations to strengthen digital health in the country, is being carried out by INTEC&#8217;s Social Security Observatory (OSES) in collaboration with Fundaci\u00f3n Plenitud.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><strong>Santo Domingo, June 2022.-<\/strong> At the <em><strong><span style=\"color: #003366\">second Latin American Digital Health Congress<\/span><\/strong><\/em>, to be held on 6 and 7 September and organised by <strong><span style=\"color: #003366\">Arium Salud Digital<\/span><\/strong> and <span style=\"color: #003366\"><strong>AF Comunicaci\u00f3n Estrat\u00e9gica<\/strong><\/span>, the results of the study &#8220;The State of Digital Health in the Dominican Republic&#8221; will be released, including a diagnosis and analysis of the current state of the health sector&#8217;s digital transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><span style=\"color: #003366\"><strong>Fedor Vidal, CEO of Arium Salud Digital<\/strong><\/span>, the company sponsoring the study, reported that the research is being conducted by the Social Security Observatory (OSES), part of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Innovation (VRII) of the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology (INTEC), with Fundaci\u00f3n Plenitud acting as technical adviser. The Observatory is backed by public and private sector institutions such as Mapfre Salud ARS, Primera ARS de Humano, ARS Universal, ARS SENASA, AFP Popular, AFP Siembra, the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">&#8220;This first publication will analyse the needs of the public and private sectors and show the status of care processes in service provider organisations and the insurance and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as their digitalisation and digital transformation needs and priorities,&#8221; said the study&#8217;s lead researcher, <span style=\"color: #003366\"><strong>Magdalena Rathe, president and founder of Fundaci\u00f3n Plenitud and Technical Adviser to OSES.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><span style=\"color: #003366\"><strong>Amelia Reyes Mora, president of AF Comunicaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/span>, expressed her enthusiasm that the research will be presented at the congress, to be held at the Real InterContinental Santo Domingo hotel. She added that it will bring together the main players in the region&#8217;s health ecosystem and invited people to visit congresosaluddigital.com for more information about the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">The study, covering Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata, La Romana and Punta Cana, will also include patients&#8217; perspectives on the digitalisation of health services and its impact on their quality of life, as well as the main challenges to advancing digital transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\">It will also address the perceptions of the main public and private sector players, including directors of hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres, professional associations, representatives of health risk administrators and pharmacies, and heads of these organisations&#8217; technology departments, as well as citizens and patients.
