it&#8217;s transforming that process into a different one through technology,&#8221;<\/mark> said Aybar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">She also said that digitalisation requires categorisation, but in health it is more complex because one symptom can point to different health conditions and many players are involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Both agree that digitalisation is growing exponentially and rapidly around the world, although there is still some way to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong><mark style=\"color:#038253\" class=\"has-inline-color\">They discussed the losses, mainly financial, that the lack of a digitalised service represents for both patients and the various players.<\/mark><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Digitalizar-los-records-medicos-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7362\" width=\"348\" height=\"181\" srcset=\"https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Digitalizar-los-records-medicos-1.jpg 770w, https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Digitalizar-los-records-medicos-1-300x156.jpg 300w, https:\/\/afcomunicacion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Digitalizar-los-records-medicos-1-768x399.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 348px) 100vw, 348px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;For example, if a doctor doesn&#8217;t know the patient&#8217;s history and, following protocol, orders a test that has already been done, the patient loses money that could have been used for other treatment costs,&#8221; explained <strong>Vidal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">He added that 100% digitalisation has not been achieved for several reasons: he believes it is a cultural process that takes time, requiring a change of mindset among everyone involved, aligned incentives across all players in the sector and a better understanding of what digitalisation means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">In the history of digitalisation, <mark style=\"color:#038253\" class=\"has-inline-color\">the health sector<\/mark> has lagged behind. Among all the players, he says, the starting point should be healthcare providers, with the patient placed at the centre.
