It was the first Caribbean country where the app was launched 100% remotely, at a critical time in the pandemic, allowing driver partners who use it to earn income flexibly and independently, with freedom and respect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jorge Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez, Regional Director<\/strong> for <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi<\/mark><\/strong>, expressed his satisfaction at seeing how this technology solution has become part of the routine of the users and driver partners who use it. &#8220;We are very happy to celebrate these two years in Santo Domingo. The energy of the Dominican people has been our main fuel to keep growing, and we love being allies to those who want to earn extra income and to users who need a convenient and safe mobility option.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">To celebrate with users, the app will make <strong>4,000 coupons available, redeemable for up to 20<\/strong>% of the value of a request made through the app, by entering the code <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DIDIDOS <\/mark><\/strong>in the promotions section of the app (<a href=\"https:\/\/img0.didiglobal.com\/static\/gstar\/img\/JGBdv0FEIh1667245499020.jpg\">Terms and Conditions<\/a> apply). The promotion is valid for trips of up to RD$80.00, from 7 to 11 November, in both Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros, the latter being the city where <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi Express<\/mark><\/strong>, <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi Moto<\/mark><\/strong> and <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi Food<\/mark><\/strong> recently became available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">In the 730 days since launch, residents of the capital have made Santo Domingo&#8217;s shopping centres their favourite destinations for trip requests through <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi<\/mark><\/strong>, accounting for 66% of requests arranged, followed by supermarkets with 13%, and in equal measure a bus station in the National District and the Mar\u00eda Montez Metro stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">According to trip data recorded in the app, since November 2020 the number of minutes users have been connected to the <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi<\/mark><\/strong> app in Santo Domingo has exceeded 8 billion, equivalent to a journey lasting 15,619 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Many people use the <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi<\/mark><\/strong> app to earn extra income. One of them is Nicol\u00e1s D\u00edaz, who uses the app as a driver partner and says <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi <\/mark><\/strong>has allowed him to earn extra money and meet different people. &#8220;I&#8217;m motivated to keep using <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi <\/mark><\/strong>because of the freedom it gives me with my schedule \u2013 I have my own business, so I can devote time to both. <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi&#8217;s<\/mark><\/strong> arrival in the country has been a blessing thanks to the offers and promotions, both for us driver partners and for users. I feel safe and at ease; my experience has been fabulous,&#8221; he says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Another driver partner, Fidel de los Santos, who has been using the app for more than a year and a half, explains that <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi <\/mark><\/strong>has given him a very good experience because it has got him out of many tight spots. What he likes most about using <strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">DiDi <\/mark><\/strong>is being his own boss. &#8220;I&#8217;ve made a lot of progress. I hope they expand across the whole country.
