It is a simple, quick outpatient procedure, so patients are discharged the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on the <strong><mark style=\"color:#46be00\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Es Cuesti\u00f3n de Salud podcast<\/mark><\/strong> from the <strong><mark style=\"color:#46be00\" class=\"has-inline-color\">INTEGRA<\/mark><\/strong> health ecosystem, Dr. Abreu said that after a <strong><mark style=\"color:#204667\" class=\"has-inline-color\">vasectomy<\/mark><\/strong>, two to three days&#8217; rest is recommended before returning to normal activities. To ease discomfort, ice packs and painkillers are also advised. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">To dispel a myth, the specialist stressed that patients continue to have orgasms and ejaculate, but without sperm in the semen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Patients who have a <strong><mark style=\"color:#204667\" class=\"has-inline-color\">vasectomy <\/mark><\/strong>at <strong><mark style=\"color:#46be00\" class=\"has-inline-color\">CEMDOE <\/mark><\/strong>are generally advised to keep using protection until after at least 21 ejaculations or up to three months, since sperm may remain if they have sex before then.
