These include fundamental contributions to valve surgery, aortic surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), coronary angiography, bypass surgery and much more. Beyond developing new devices and therapies, Cleveland Clinic is at the forefront of cardiovascular research, continually making discoveries that shape the future of heart care. Over the years, Cleveland Clinic surgeons have also performed more than 4,500 mitral valve procedures with a 0% mortality rate. In addition, Cleveland Clinic has received the highest overall composite score, 3 out of 3 stars, in all cardiothoracic procedures rated by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to sustained excellence in outcomes and innovation, for the 30th consecutive year U.S. News &amp; World Report has recognised Cleveland Clinic&#8217;s legacy in cardiovascular care by naming it the No. 1 hospital in the country for heart care in the magazine&#8217;s 2024-2025 Best Hospitals rankings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The annual rankings also placed Cleveland Clinic on the Best Hospitals Honor Roll, a distinction given to only 20 hospitals nationwide, and named Cleveland Clinic the No. 1 hospital in Ohio.
