Health has not escaped this influence and it is currently applied to a range of procedures in the sector, offering great advantages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Such is the case of cloud computing, also known as \u201cthe cloud\u201d, which plays a significant role on the path to modernising the health system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Systematisation in the cloud offers valuable benefits for those working in the health sector, given its demographic, epidemiological, financial and regulatory challenges, explained <mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Fedor Vidal, CEO of Arium Salud Digital.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cloud allows the <mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">secure storage<\/mark> and accessibility of large amounts of medical data, such as electronic clinical records, medical images, laboratory results and patient records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fedor added that, thanks to cloud technology, an internet connection gives any health organisation low-cost access to computing capabilities that until recently were only available to companies with large budgets and human resources in the IT (information technology) area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cUsing cloud storage not only reduces costs, it also has a positive impact on patients&#8217; health by making it easier to store, share and analyse medical information. This is especially important given the exponential growth of patient data\u201d, the executive said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for the security of medical data in the cloud, the digital health expert said it is decisive to consider the service provider and its commitment to security and data protection standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another relevant factor is that companies handling medical records should implement certified professional security measures and use cutting-edge technology to protect confidential patient information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, systematisation in the cloud also allows the implementation of technologies such as big data analysis, cognitive computing, telemedicine and mobile collaboration, which speeds up the delivery of advanced healthcare solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also contributes to the growing need for greater interaction between health sector players and patients, who are taking an increasingly active role in looking after their own health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He stressed, however, that data security also requires <mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">the education and awareness of users<\/mark>, since many security breaches occur because of a lack of caution on the part of users themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is crucial that patients are educated about protecting their personal and digital data.
