Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> The companies and institutions that sponsor and endorse the 4th International Congress of Health and Wellness Tourism continue to join. This activity represents a unique scenario for members of the sector’s value chain to present their products and services. The congress currently has almost 40 collaborating institutions, and endorsements of important government and business organizations, which seek to strengthen this initiative, revealing the clear vision of the future and the great business potential in this investment area. It also has broad support from media partners that facilitate the international projection of the Dominican Republic as a preferential destination for health tourism.<\/p>\n

Great interest and international expectation have been generated so that an important influx of participants from different countries interested in knowing the Dominican offer and generating synergies will be received.<\/p>\n

Health and wellness tourism represents a growing niche market, driven by the Dominican government and business associations through the Vice Presidency of the Republic, Ministries of Tourism and Health, Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic, Council National Competitiveness and the National Free Zones Council, thus positioning it on the national interest agenda. They are also supported by Asonahores, Amchamrd, Adompretur, and Conep.<\/p>\n

This congress is an initiative of the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS)<\/a> and the specialized agency, AF Strategic Communication, with the purpose of designing a medical tourism destination model that encourages the acquisition of certifications to further develop this niche , and predict a very promising future for an industry of 100 billion dollars in the world.<\/p>\n

It is one of the activities that greater integration of various sectors has generated. They highlight the contribution, trust and firm commitment to the country of the Dominican Popular Bank, Rescue Group, Santiago Metropolitan Hospital, Hospiturs, Multi-insurance, RICOH, Canada Accreditation, Central Romana, Espaillat Cabral, Surgi Coordinator, Worldcare, ARS Universal, PUCMM, ARS Palic, Hotel Jaragua, Del Toro Abogados, Medical Law, International Medical Group, Copa Airlines, Plaza de la Salud, among others.<\/p>\n

In addition, the congress has generated great credibility internationally by attracting the support of the most prestigious health entities Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, New York-Presbyterian, Baptist Health and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS).<\/p>\n
