March 2018.- The Dominican Association of Health Tourism and AF Comunicación Estratégica presented the agenda of the fourth International Congress of Health and Wellness Tourism, which will be held from September 5 to 7 at the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel in Santo Domingo.
Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso, president of the Dominican Association of Health Tourism (ADTS), announced that more than 40 expert speakers would participate in this edition, who will analyze the Global Perspective on Health and Wellness Tourism, Challenges and Opportunities of its Human Resources, the Dominican Offer of health services, as well as Innovations in the insurance, financial and tourism sectors, management of the reputation of the destination, Importance of well-being in the Hotel Industry, among other topics that seek to diversify the tourism offer, alienated with the presidential goal of attracting 10 million tourists by 2022.
“The congress will be the scenario in which the Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Margarita Cedeño will share about the Importance of public-private partnerships in health tourism, and where the executive director of the National Competitiveness Council, Rafael Paz, will present the results of the First Competitiveness Study of the Dominican Republic in the field of Health Tourism, ”said Dr. Cambiaso.
Similarly, Amelia Reyes Mora, president of AF Strategic Communication, said that this meeting had become a multisectoral integration platform for business development and investment opportunities, offering companies an excellent B2B scenario for networking and positioning and recognition of their brands.
“On the opening night special awards will be granted to personalities who have stood out in the sector, and to conclude the two days of congress, a private lunch will be held with the support of the government and the financial sector for local and international investors, whose objective is to identify resources for new health tourism projects, free zones of medical devices and communities for retirees, ”added the vice president of the Dominican Health Tourism Association, Amelia Reyes Mora.
During this lunch, Luisa Fernández, executive director of the National Council of Export Free Zones, will moderate the panel: Free Zones as an investment and development platform for medical device companies.
