These certifications guarantee that all the companies in the group comply in their operations with the quality and environmental standards defined within the Integrated Management System.
Santo Domingo, April 5, 2018.- Plater Group SA, a pioneer in the Natural Gas sector in the Dominican Republic, was recognized with the international certifications ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015, granted by the Institute of Technical Standards of Costa Rica (INTECO, IQNET), for the high degree of commitment of its operations in harmony with the environment and for satisfying the needs of customers and other interested parties, in a framework of continuous improvement.
The Director of Market Development, Eliecer Castro, and Gerardo Tejera, Country Director, of INTECO, delivered the certifications to the President and Vice President of Plater Group, José Manuel Arias, and Juan Carlos País, respectively, who confirmed that these certifications include all the group companies (Platergas, Sispen SRL, Gaseoducto Virtual SRL, and Consolar Dominicana Inc.).
The executives of Plater Group expressed their satisfaction for obtaining the awards that exalt the quality and dedication of the entire team that serves and maintains the services provided by the company, which helps customers receive an excellent service experience.
In addition, they reiterated their commitment to society and to the authorities of the countries and regions in which they operate with the continuous improvement of their processes.
In the same way, they explained that Plater Group represents for their clients an opportunity and alternative of energy efficiency, which revolves around the Natural Gas business, as this is a versatile, less polluting energy source with multiple opportunities to improve performance and therefore savings.
Among the main business lines of the group are: the distribution of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), the transport of LNG with cryogenic tanks, the design, engineering and installation of projects such as: LNG storage and regasification satellite plants, Natural gas vehicle service stations, gas pipelines, renewable energies, cogenerations and combinations of energy solutions.
The ISO 9001: 2015 certification by the Quality Management System (SGC), certifies that the company meets the requirements established by the standard and that it has implemented a Quality Management System in the business with a clear orientation to meet the needs of customers and other interested parties, in a framework of continuous improvement.
While the ISO 14001: 2015 certification by the Environmental Management System (SGA), accredits that Plater Group has established a system that helps prevent environmental impacts, using the necessary means to avoid, reduce or control them, and always in a context of sustainable development.
