- It will provide operators with a new blue ocean, according to a Huawei executive.
[Shenzhen, China] At the Operations Digital Transformation Summit during the Win-Win Huawei Innovation Week, Peng Song, President of Huawei’s Carrier BG Solution Sales and Marketing Department, gave a keynote speech titled “Opening the blue ocean of digital intelligence towards a new DigiVerse era”. He said digital intelligence represents the biggest opportunity of the next decade and will provide operators with a new blue ocean and fresh momentum.
Drawing on decades of experience in digital intelligent transformation, Huawei works with telecom operators to develop a three-layer digital intelligent transformation architecture, a five-dimension, five-phase operations digital intelligent transformation maturity model, and three value-oriented transformation paths. This will allow operators to make better use of new transformation opportunities.
“To seize the opportunities, operators need to accelerate their digital intelligent transformation at three levels,” said Peng Song. “First, service transformation. Going forward, telecom operators will focus on differentiated experience-based services, data services and industry digital services. They need to close the business loop by leveraging the ecosystem, platform and network to drive rapid growth of the second curve. Second, operations transformation. Operators need to focus on the user journey, in which products, services, platforms and networks are closely linked. As 80% of service decisions are expected to be data-driven, they need to maximise the value of data for value-based operations. Third, infrastructure transformation. Operators are expected to provide secure, green, intelligent and ubiquitous networks that integrate computing and connectivity resources.”
Digital intelligent transformation is a process that requires continuous optimisation. For operations digital intelligent transformation, Huawei works with industry organisations to build a maturity assessment model with five dimensions and five phases, based on its own transformation experience and that of more than 100 operators. The model’s five dimensions are transformation strategy, value measurement, process optimisation, data/platform/network and organisational talent, and the assessment is carried out according to five maturity phases from L1 to L5.

Digital intelligent transformation of operations is also a systematic project.
In this regard, Zhou Xiaohua, President of Huawei’s Service and Software Solution Marketing and Sales Department, gave a talk titled “Dispelling six misconceptions and accelerating operations digital intelligent transformation”, presenting three key paths to help operators transform in terms of intelligence integration in digital services, data-driven intelligent experience and predictable digital intelligent O&M. Huawei has launched a broad portfolio of products and solutions, such as the Artificial Intelligent Contact Center (AICC), the SmartCare Smart series and the AUTIN i series, all of which help support operators’ high-value ToC, ToH and ToB scenarios.
We help operators improve quality and efficiency through automation and intelligence to implement precision marketing and lean economic operations oriented to market, management and enterprise. In particular, Huawei works to enable a differentiated operator ToB experience and drives industry innovation and revenue growth through intelligent operations. On the one hand, industry customers are provided with immersive digital marketing during the marketing phase, while deterministic SLA assurance is delivered through digital integration and service-level O&M capabilities. On the other hand, mature digital intelligence capabilities are adopted to enable digital intelligence in industry operations and customer service, as well as data as a service (DaaS) to generate revenue from new digital services.
Finally, Huawei has built the Digital Intelligent Transformation DigiVerse Center, the Digital Intelligent Transformation Columbus Exhibition Hall and the Digital Intelligent Transformation Innovation and Practice Center. Drawing on its experience of real transformation in valuable scenarios, Huawei provides more than 10 cloud showcases worldwide and enables immersive dialogue with more than 300 experts while enjoying scenario-based experiences. Together, Huawei, operators and business partners can innovate jointly and ultimately tap into the blue ocean of digital intelligence.
