“The best companies are those that not only contribute to generating income and jobs, but create community to do things better and keep improving,” said Pilar Ruiz de Chávez, director of Best Managed Companies Latin America.

The Central American version of the programme will include 7 countries (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic), sponsored by Deloitte, Grupo Promerica and INCAE Business School. They will play an active role in the programme, not only as sponsors but also in the advice participating companies receive, with a multidisciplinary group of experts from the three organisations providing guidance and identifying each company’s main strengths and areas of opportunity. This is combined with the programme’s methodology, the result of more than twenty years of the programme’s experience worldwide: a working model that shows how a company creates “value” and what actions it should take to improve its results through five drivers: sales growth, operating margin, asset management, strengths and external factors, and talent and sustainability.
