Grupo Prato receives the keys to Panama City

• The distinction recognises Grupo Prato’s more than 19 years of investment in Panama in construction, education, health and finance, as well as its efforts to achieve academic excellence and social inclusion.

Panama, October 2023.- Grupo Prato received the keys to Panama City from Mayor José Luis Fabrega to mark the group’s 44th anniversary.

“I am honoured to name Grupo Prato as an honoured guest of the District of Panama and present them with the keys to the city in recognition of their projects in construction, education, health and finance, as well as their efforts to achieve academic excellence and social inclusion,” said Mayor Fabrega.

With more than 44 years in existence and more than 19 years investing in Panama, Grupo Prato received this highest distinction from the Panama mayor’s office, in the presence of several ambassadors from countries where the organisation has carried out projects, as well as guests from Panama’s public and private sectors.

The Dominican Republic’s ambassador to Panama, Violeta Mazara, spoke about Grupo Prato’s long track record of more than 20 years of investment and success in the Dominican Republic, including Hospital IMG.

“We are pleased to have Grupo Prato’s investment in the Dominican Republic, which includes the first clinic accredited by the United States for its excellence in medical quality – quality that is well recognised both in our country and internationally. Its vision of making Punta Cana a medical hub is really important for accelerating the development of our tourist destination,” said Mazara.

The ceremony took place at the Panama City Hall, located in the city’s Casco Antiguo.
