HOMS and BHD sign financing agreement for doctors

- The agreement provides financing with grace months for payment and waived fees for doctors interested in developing their medical practice at HOMS Health & Wellness Center.
Santiago. Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago (HOMS) and Banco BHD signed a financing agreement for health professionals interested in developing their medical practice in the new consulting rooms of the medical specialties professional tower at HOMS Health & Wellness Center (HHWC). It provides credit facilities of up to 7 years at a fixed rate, 6 months’ grace on capital and no fees for partial payments or early repayment.
Dr. Rafael Sánchez Español, general director and chairman of the Board of Directors of HOMS, and Luis Lembert, general manager of Banco BHD, signed the agreement.
“HOMS is an innovative organisation, with a growth project for the country and our professionals, with a special focus on health tourism, based on cutting-edge technology, knowledge and quality human resources,” said Dr. Sánchez Español. He added that it is a HOMS initiative to support new doctors, so that, faced with the challenges of starting their careers, they can have a space to develop their medical practice.
Lembert highlighted the importance to Banco BHD of boosting the health sector in the country. “We are committed to contributing to the development of the health sector and of doctors, who work every day to safeguard people’s lives and well-being. The facilities we are announcing today are the result of a great effort to offer unique and special conditions to these health professionals, and they form part of the exclusive value proposition for doctors that we offer at Banco BHD,” he said.
The HHWC consulting rooms measure 34 square metres and are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, with access to more than 700 parking spaces. They also have private waiting rooms, nursing rooms and a sample collection area.
Applicant doctors must submit their professional CV and exequatur to the HOMS presidency, which will be reviewed by the Admissions Board. Once validated, they must submit the required documentation for credit assessment at the BHD offices located at HOMS.
The medical specialties professional tower is just 10 minutes from Cibao International Airport and is connected by an internal bridge to HOMS, which is accredited by Accreditation Canada, also representing an opportunity for health tourism. Specialists providing services in this tower will be able to see patients covered by all national and international insurers.
