“Investment Breakfast” held with more than RD$18 billion in medical tourism projects

- ADTS and AF Comunicación Estratégica held an Investment Breakfast at which more than RD$18 billion in medical tourism and health projects were presented.
With the aim of driving innovation, investment and new projects that strengthen the health sector and Dominican medical tourism, the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS) and AF Comunicación Estratégica held the fourth Private Investment Breakfast as the closing event of the “VI International Congress on Health and Wellness Tourism”.
The gathering, which took place on 3 November in the Grand Ballroom of the JW Marriott Santo Domingo hotel, was led by the president of the Dominican Health Tourism Association, Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso, the association’s vice president, Amelia Reyes Mora, who also chairs AF Comunicación Estratégica, and Juan Martín de Oliva, vice president of tourism business at Banco Popular Dominicano, the sponsor.






Also present were David Llibre, president of the National Association of Hotels and Tourism (ASONAHORES), Aguie Lendor, executive vice president of ASONAHORES, Vladimir Pimentel, deputy director general of ProDominicana, Marcial Smester, director of investment at ProDominicana, Mildred Santos Winkler, technical deputy director of ProDominicana, as well as officials from the health and tourism sectors, investment funds, project developers, and local and international investors.
The central theme of the investment breakfast was the presentation of 6 new projects in the health tourism sector, which together represent an investment of more than 18 billion pesos, will bring technology transfer and create more than 4,000 direct jobs and 10 indirect jobs, a strong sign of confidence in the present and future of the Dominican Republic as a cutting-edge medical tourism destination.
