Amelia Reyes Mora wins Innovative Woman award at the Connecta Awards 2023 Dominican Republic

• The Connecta B2B Awards, which are also held in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama, honoured 10 leaders and companies in the Dominican Republic.

Santo Domingo, December 2023-. The president of AF Comunicación Estratégica and vice president of the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS), Amelia Reyes Mora, won the Innovative Woman category at the Connecta Awards 2023 Dominican Republic, an annual award for the most outstanding companies and leaders in Central America and the Caribbean.

Organised by Connecta B2B, the parent company of the Mercados & Tendencias, ITNOW and Construir communities, the Connecta Awards recognise those who have shown excellence in various fields, selected through audience participation and a distinguished jury made up of the ConnectaB2B editorial team and guest judges from the region.

Speaking about the award, Reyes Mora said: “We women have to keep working hard to continue taking on leadership positions. We need a clear vision of what we want to achieve, to prepare and keep our professional skills up to date, to strengthen our self-confidence and to be healthily self-critical so we can correct mistakes and learn from them. We must also remember that we play different roles and need to balance them according to our priorities and values.”

She also said that female leadership has brought a more synergistic, inclusive approach, different from and complementary to traditional male leadership, with an innovative vision for resolving conflicts and making decisions.

Marcelo Burman, general manager of Connecta B2B, and Geizel Torres, country manager of Mercados & Tendencias Dominican Republic, presented the award plaque to Reyes Mora at a breakfast held in Santo Domingo.

At the event, which brought together nominees from the different categories as well as special guests, the Connecta B2B Awards honoured 10 leaders and companies for their achievements in 2023, chosen from a shortlist of finalists nominated by a qualified jury plus popular votes gathered across all Connecta B2B platforms.

In the Mercados & Tendencias community of the Connecta B2B Awards, as well as Innovative Woman, awards were also given for “SME Initiative”, “CSR and Sustainability Project” and “CEO of the Year”.

These awards celebrate business excellence and highlight innovation and sustainability, key elements in the evolution of modern companies. They are also a comprehensive recognition covering various areas and highlighting positive impact in the technology, business and construction sectors.
