Santo Domingo – Banco Promerica held its 2024 Executive Business Breakfast, an event that brought together members of the Board of Directors, clients, strategic partners, figures from the country’s business sector and bank executives. The gathering became a space for reflecting on the achievements of the year and the economic outlook for 2025.
The event was led by Carlos Julio Camilo, executive president of Banco Promerica, who highlighted the entity’s main milestones during 2024, as well as the challenges and opportunities it foresees for the coming year. In his address, Mr Camilo reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to remaining a trusted, close and innovative financial partner.

“We have reached historic milestones this year, such as passing one billion dollars in assets, being the fastest-growing bank at the close of October 2024 with a 25% increase in the total loan portfolio and compound annual growth of 34% over the last 5 years, while also keeping our leadership in growth in this area. In the same vein, we have received three upgrades to our risk rating in the last three years. These results not only fill us with pride, they also motivate us to keep supporting our clients with cutting-edge products and services”, said Mr Camilo.

In his address, the executive president of Banco Promerica also highlighted the opening of new branches at strategic points around the country, such as San Francisco de Macorís, and the consolidation of its service centres and Corporate Offices in Santo Domingo and Santiago. He also highlighted the entity’s digital transformation, which included improvements to its digital banking and the addition of innovations in payment methods, such as the launch of Apple Pay in the Dominican Republic.
The event featured a special appearance by Raúl Ovalle, a leading economist and managing partner of the firm Analytica, who gave a talk entitled: “Outlook for an economy without reform: global, monetary and fiscal challenges in 2025”.
Ovalle analysed the main economic variables that will influence the performance of the Dominican economy, among them the behaviour of interest rates, fiscal stability and the impact of changes in the global economy. His contribution generated a high level of interaction from those attending, who had the chance to take part in a question and answer panel to explore some topics in more depth.
During the gathering, the entity reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a close and transparent relationship with its clients and strategic partners, stressing that Banco Promerica is ready to bring more innovation, agility in all its processes and a client-centred approach.
The event closed with a message of thanks and commitment from Carlos Julio Camilo, who stressed the importance of unity and proactivity in facing the economic challenges of 2025. “Our mission is to keep growing together, overcoming the challenges and reaching new goals with the passion and dedication that characterise us.
