DiDi is now available in Santiago with rides from RD$95

Santiago, Dominican Republic. DiDi, the world’s largest mobility technology platform, is now available to handle ride requests in Santiago de los Caballeros. With rides from RD$95, the app aims to make getting around the Heart City easier, more convenient, safer and more affordable. Through the Express category, the platform will use its technology to handle ride requests connecting users with drivers of private vehicles.
“We’re delighted that DiDi is finally available in this wonderful city, the cultural, historical and economic centre of the Cibao region. As part of the welcome promotions, from Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 August there will be coupons of up to 50% redeemable on ride requests made through the app, under the terms and conditions available at https://z.didi.cn/5VF2M . In addition, during the first three weekends the app is available in Santiago, there will be coupons redeemable for the full value of rides up to RD$200. “Santiago is a place of hard-working, hospitable people who are passionate about baseball and enjoy going out and getting together with family and friends. We want DiDi to become a great ally in their day-to-day lives, making getting around as easy as possible. The app also opens up an opportunity for many people to register as drivers and supplement their income independently, with flexibility and freedom,” added Ordóñez.
The “DiDi Passenger” app is available to download on AppStore, Google Play and App Gallery. Anyone interested in registering with DiDi Express as a driver should download the “DiDi Driver” app or visit dominicana.didiglobal.com and sign up in the “DiDi Driver” section.
Safety
Through a local partnership with the firm Dominican Watchman, DiDi is the only app to offer support from private security patrols, available 24/7, to provide on-site assistance if needed.
In addition, to prevent and minimise risks for the community, DiDi has its international safety scheme, which includes more than 20 tools for before, during and after each trip.
Some of the available features are: sharing trips in real time with trusted contacts, contact between driver and user through an anonymous number to protect privacy, an emergency button to call 911, the option to unlink a user or driver to avoid future connections with that contact, and GPS monitoring to detect .
