The statement was made by IntraCare Center’s clinical oncologist, Dr Miguel Monanci, who maintained that the Dominican Republic has highly trained doctors and first-rate centres specialising in oncology.
Dr Monanci was interviewed on the programme Despierta con CDN, broadcast Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning on CDN, channel 37.
“The country has made significant advances in medical infrastructure and in training specialists. We have the technical capacity to tackle cancer effectively”, he said.
The specialist spoke about the importance of being treated in time in order to prevent any kind of cancer.
