Santo Domingo. IntraCare Center and Fundación FACES have signed a strategic alliance that will directly benefit patients diagnosed with cancer who come from outside the capital and must travel there to receive specialised medical care.
The collaboration seeks to reduce the financial barriers linked to accommodation, making timely access to treatments, procedures and tests easier.
Fundación FACES runs a shelter home for people with cancer who have nowhere to stay while receiving treatment in Santo Domingo. With this alliance, IntraCare Center reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive health and wellbeing of those facing this difficult illness.
The official signing of the agreement took place in the presence of Fary de León, president of Fundación FACES, and Ivelisse Aquino, administrative and financial director of IntraCare Center. Both representatives stressed the importance of building support networks that go beyond clinical care and respond to patients’ real needs.
With this collaboration, IntraCare Center and Fundación FACES are joining forces to offer more accessible, dignified and humane medical care, ensuring that no patient has to postpone treatment for lack of a safe place to stay.
