IDA Healthcare and Northwell Health form a partnership

SANTO DOMINGO: – IDA Healthcare, a first-class healthcare provider recognised for its personalised, high-quality care, has formed a partnership with Northwell Health, New York State’s largest healthcare provider, with the aim of raising healthcare standards in the Dominican Republic and contributing to the education and training of medical staff.
The initiative was presented to key partners by the leaders of both organisations at a special event held in Santo Domingo.
Under this strategic partnership, Northwell Health announced that it will provide essential support for IDA Healthcare’s operations and clinical protocols. The organisation’s medical professionals will have access to Northwell Health’s specialists and its 24-hour transfer centre, allowing them to respond quickly to requests for expert virtual second-opinion consultations and advanced guidance on complex cases.

The event was attended by highly prestigious physicians, including Dr. Yafell Serulle, Chief of Neuroendovascular Surgery; Dr. Varinder Singh, Chair of Cardiology at Northwell Health; and Dr. Mehran Habibi, Regional Chief of Breast Surgery at Northwell Health.
Also present were Dr. Frederick Buechel, Director of Robotic-Assisted Knee Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital; Dr. Jonathan Berkowitz, Director of the Northwell Health Emergency Center; Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Emergency Medicine at Northwell Health; Dr. David Hirschorn, Chief of Informatics for Northwell Health’s Imaging Service Line; and Laura Ferreira, Northwell Health’s ambassador in the country.
