Santiago de los Caballeros will be DiDi Moto’s next destination

• When ride requests begin, one of the launch promotions will be a multiplier that will make motorcycle riders’ earnings even higher.

Santiago, August 2022. In a few weeks, motorcyclists in the “Heart City” will have a new way to earn extra income independently and flexibly. It is DiDi Moto, the technology service that will connect them with users who need to get around quickly, safely and affordably.

DiDi Moto has been available in the Dominican Republic since May, making it the first country in Spanish-speaking America to offer this option and the second on the whole continent. Thanks to the take-up of this technology product, DiDi Moto is now beginning its expansion beyond the capital.

Once the service is enabled, users will be able to access DiDi Moto within the same DiDi Passenger app they currently use to request Express rides, which connects them with private cars. There is no need to download additional platforms or register again.

In this way, DiDi Moto will complement DiDi’s portfolio of technology solutions in the city, with one of the most competitive service fees, of just 15%.

Santiago hops on DiDi Moto

Anyone who wants to register as a motorcycle rider can do so from today by downloading the “DiDi Driver” app and completing registration. The documents required to start the process are a driving licence and vehicle registration or, failing that, a Route Letter. Riders must also be over 18 and upload a photo of their face to the platform. Once this step is complete, background checks and requirement verification will begin.

The first motorcycle riders to complete their registration correctly will be able to enjoy welcome promotions. For example, a multiplier will be enabled to boost their extra income even further. They will also be guaranteed a minimum of extra income, under terms and conditions to be announced in due course.

Motorcycle riders will have access to more than 20 safety features for before, during and after each trip. These include response patrols for on-site support through Dominican Watchman, user verification, encrypted and hidden phone numbers, trusted contacts and GPS monitoring to detect deviations or abnormal routes, among others.
