The accreditation was obtained through the Qmentum Model, Accreditation Canada’s assessment programme designed to guarantee quality and safety at every level of healthcare organisations. The process verifies compliance with 1,868 international criteria covering medical care, patient safety, clinical protocols, hospital management, organisational leadership, governance and quality in care processes.
Unlike other one-off certifications, the Qmentum Model requires periodic assessments, ongoing continuous improvement processes and evidence of them in order to maintain certification, which makes this accreditation a dynamic guarantee of trust and institutional commitment, not a static achievement.
