Santo Domingo, October 2026. TransUnion has announced an expansion of Juan Badel’s responsibilities. As well as continuing as General Manager for Central America, he now also takes on the role of Vice President of Sales for the Dominican Republic and TransUnion Soluciones de Información (TSI) in Mexico.
In this position, the executive will continue to lead operations in Central America, adding responsibility for the Dominican Republic and TSI in Mexico. As part of this organisational evolution, Danilda Almanzar and Rafael Rodríguez will continue to lead the Dominican Republic and Mexico TSI businesses respectively, keeping their current responsibilities and reporting to Juan Badel. The move reflects TransUnion’s strategy of strengthening regional integration, speeding up the execution of business priorities and creating greater opportunities for collaboration between markets, in an environment marked by growing demand for solutions related to data, analytics, identity, fraud prevention and financial inclusion.
Badel has extensive experience in commercial leadership, business development and operations management in Latin America. During his time in Central America he has driven initiatives aimed at sustainable growth, strengthening client relationships and consolidating new business opportunities, contributing to the company’s position as a strategic ally for organisations across many industries in the region. The change will also make it possible to draw more effectively on the company’s regional capabilities, strengthen coordination between teams and speed up the adoption of best practices and solutions across the different markets.
“The new scope of Juan’s responsibilities reflects the positive impact he has had in Central America and the confidence we have in his leadership to drive the next stage of growth in these markets. His experience, strategic vision and deep knowledge of the industry will be essential to continue strengthening our regional presence and generating value for the business,” said Carlos Valencia, Regional President of TransUnion Latin America.
For his part, Juan Camilo Badel highlighted the opportunity to keep contributing to the organisation’s growth in a region with wide potential for development.
“I am excited to take on this new responsibility and to keep working to strengthen collaboration between markets, accelerate our growth and continue supporting our clients as they face their business challenges, through solutions that build trust, drive financial inclusion and create new economic opportunities for companies and consumers,” said Badel.
With this decision, TransUnion continues to strengthen its regional structure and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the transformation of Latin America’s financial and digital ecosystems, supporting its clients with information, analytics and solutions that allow them to grow with confidence in a more connected, data-driven economy.
