To train the professionals, a programme of strictly in-person classes is drawn up, in which the most common conditions in each surgical specialty are discussed.
Santo Domingo. As part of its effort to contribute to the professional development of residents and surgeons, Farmaconal Quirúrgica runs procedure update workshops at its premises, demonstrating its commitment to the medical community.
These training sessions are led by Dr. Rubén Villasmil, who highlights the benefits they have brought to professionals.
“The results of this programme are clear when you see how doctors make proper use of the equipment and implants that Farmaconal Quirúrgica provides and that are used during surgery,” says Dr. Villasmil.
In the first eight months of this year, 24 resident doctors and 12 orthopaedic specialists received training in arthroscopic surgery.
Since it began operating, the company has had a policy of keeping the medical staff who use its products up to date and well trained, in order to promote their safe and appropriate use.
The residents admitted to the arthroscopic surgery training programme are in the final year of their postgraduate studies and are endorsed by the Teaching Coordination office of their respective hospital.

The programme includes theoretical and practical sessions using the same instruments and implants that will be used in surgery on patients.
For resident training, Farmaconal Quirúrgica works with Johnson & Johnson, and its premises have classrooms with audiovisual equipment for the theoretical sessions and anatomical models for Orthopaedics and General Surgery for the practical sessions.
