The Global Competition and Awards Ceremony will be held in May 2025 in China.
Santo Domingo. – Leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) company Huawei has opened registration until the end of December for the ICT Competition for Practice and Innovation, a talent exchange involving university students from around the world.
The aim of the Innovation competition is to test participants’ capacity for technological creativity and application in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ICT. The Practice competition, meanwhile, aims to promote the healthy development of the academic ecosystem and support the integration of industry and education.
For the Innovation competition, participants will have to design a solution that creates social and commercial value using Huawei technology such as MindSpore, CANN and ModelArts, or by combining relevant techniques such as IoT, big data, cloud computing and mobile internet, among other uses of technology.
For the Practice Competition, students can register for only one of the three competition categories: network, cloud or computing.
Participants must be active university students during the registration period (October to December) and have a PC/laptop and network access available for their study and exam process.
These events will take place at 4 levels: preliminary, national, regional and global, so students who decide to take part will have to pass each of these stages.
Participants in the Practice competition must register individually and be university students currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme. In the Innovation competition, young people must register in teams and may be undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral students.
