Santo Domingo, March 2022-. Banco Promerica Dominican Republic was selected by the research team of British magazine Pan Finance as a leader in the categories “Bank of the Year for Digital Services” and “Excellence in Financial Inclusion”.
The factors the magazine analysed in awarding Banco Promerica focused on the experience, perception and ratings of users of the “Promerica Móvil RD” app, ease of customer access to financial services, the addition of new solutions and the bank’s sustained growth.
The Pan Finance team highlighted that “this institution is constantly adapting to digitalisation and understands the importance of financial inclusion, giving customers various payment options through PagaTodo outlets, with more than 600 payment points across the Dominican Republic. Another aspect we considered is its customer service, offering digital assistance through social media, WhatsApp and email”.
Carlos Julio Camilo, executive president of Banco Promerica, said digital transformation has become one of the institution’s main focuses, helping bring its financial services closer to different segments and delivering a memorable experience to customers, with the closeness that characterises its corporate culture.
Banco Promerica’s focus on digital banking and financial inclusion solutions is evident in the strengthening of its value proposition, to which it has constantly added new features tailored to customers’ needs, giving them greater autonomy and self-service.
Through its Promerica Móvil RD mobile app, customers can check balances, make payments, view transaction history, schedule payments, book appointments, locate branches or ATMs and redeem points automatically, among other new solutions implemented over the past year, including applying for products. As part of the selection process, it was noted that more than 75% of its customers rated the mobile app positively.
Among the innovative solutions implemented by Banco Promerica, they highlighted the “Promerica Pay” digital wallet, which allows payments with Promerica credit and debit cards using contactless payment technology on Android phones, as well as the ability to use its cards in Garmin and FitBit smartwatch wallets.
Promerica’s Digital Banking continues to grow, ending 2021 with an increase of more than 75% in digital transactions.
Pan Finance magazine’s awards programme was established to be a true benchmark of excellence. Identifying organisations and individuals who have excelled in their respective fields allows Pan Finance to highlight and applaud leading examples of best practice.
